Assigning additional system memory to the problem doesn't help, you won't gain anything. We are going to have to rely on Intel starting to write good drivers. Unfortunately, I don't think its possible to increase performance further.

If other drivers are present uninstall them checking the "Delete the driver software for this device" boxĭo a registry cleanup (may not be required) Uninstall any Intel IGPU drivers currently installedīoot to safe mode and verify no Intel drivers are still on the system (right-click "Computer" > "Properties" > "Device Manager" > "Display Adapter") Improved Pixel Shader processing by around 30%. Improved Vertex Processing by around 10%. By default, "On Battery" and "Plugged In" power options are set to "Balance" Increased default video memory from 128MB to 192MB Added Intel Control Center from desktop 2462 driver Q - Does this driver work for Intel GMA 4500 M / Intel GMA X4500 / Intel GMA X4500 HD A - Yes, the X well before was how the GPU was named upon release then Intel changed it later to M, the 4500 M GPU has a speed of 400 MHz while the 4500 MHD GPU have a speed of 533 MHz but the rest of the chip functions all about the same, Intel even have the same driver listed for both. Added experimental HDMI Over/Underscan support Reduced HDMI Detection delay from 1000ms to 750ms Reduced DP Detection delay from 1000ms to 750ms Increased maximum allowable allocated memory for IGP from 512MB > 1GB We test Intels latest GMA HD graphics in its Clarkdale Core i5-661 CPU to see how it stacks up against AMDs 785G and Nvidias 9300 IGPs when it comes to gaming and HD video. 3DM06 score with these is 925pts, I doubt these drivers are getting any better without somebody addressing the issues you can read about in the readme file.įull readme for rev 2.2 2413 modded driver Modded 4500 Driver for Win7 & Vista 64bit (!170) Based on latest 2869 driver, last driver I'll make. With my modified 2413 drivers Desktop and 3D gaming scores are 3.6 and 4.1! as can be seen here

Windows Experience Index score for Desktop and 3D gaming with the latest vanilla intel drivers (2413) were 3.6 and 3.3, respectively. Here is what I used to score with the following configuration: So I've taken up arms and modded some intel drivers :D What I've actually done is taken the latest Intel drivers meant for the latest i5 and i7 CPUs with on-die IGPU and modded them to work with laptop IGPUs.
As some of you may of read in the general hardware section I've been somewhat outraged at my 4500M IGPU, on paper its a OK laptop chip that again on paper (10 unified pipelines) should be capable of playing older games with good FPS, yet it doesn't.
